The Panchkula District Courts framed charges against nine people,including seven Bangladesh nationals,today in a dacoity case of about Rs 15 lakh at a Sector 10 house. On the intervening night of July 15 and 16,2010,nine men barged into the ground floor of the house ,armed with country made pistol and knife. They locked the inmates and decamped with cash and jewellery. After that they targeted the families at the first floor and second floor and looted them as well. All the three families are related to each other.
Narul Islam,Abu Zaffer,Mohamed Hilal,Rakib Holedar,Jamaal Holedar,Kamrul,Alamin Khan,all residents of Bangladesh,Wazil Ali,from Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh) and Mohamed Yunus,from 24 Pargana( West Bengal),would face a trial under Section 395 (for dacoity),Section 397( for dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt),Section 342 (for wrongful confinement),and Section 412 (retaining stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code(IPC). The Bangladeshis will face trial under Section 3 and 14 of the Foreigners Act. Narul,Zaffer,Yunus,Hilaal and Jamaal will face a trial under the Arms Act.
They used country made pistols and knives and also attempted to cause hurt to Mohinder Pratap Singh,Yogita,Gaurav,Rakesh Kumar,Poonam and their children,Vinod Kumar and Ranjana. Singh,ex-Haryana Tourism deputy director,was a complainant in the case. All were arrested in September of 2010.
