A lower court Friday framed charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy against five persons who had allegedly forged the signatures of the complainant Sandeep Kumar.
As per the complainant,one of the accused Puran Chand,a retired travel secretary of Punjab Secretariat had allegedly forged Kumars signatures and got electricity connections,voter Identity cards and accounts opened in banks.
Kumar is presently living in Sector 15 in a government accommodation. They had made full arrangement to take over my Sector 22 residence,said Kumar.
Along with Puran Chand,Anu Bala a teacher in Government School,Sector 11; Ravi Kant,Assistant manager in a bank in Sector 10; Vijay Kumari,skilled operator and Sanjeev Kumar,clerk DC office,Mohali have been named in the FIR dated February 2,2010.
Charges were framed under Section 420 (cheating),467 (forgery of valuable Security),471(Using as genuine a forged document or electronic record),452 (trespass),380 (theft) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy).

Camp on female foeticide at Mansa Devi temple
Aiming to create awareness among people regarding female foeticide,Kanya Jeevan Dayini Samiti,an organization working to eradicate female foeticide,set up a camp on the second day of Navratra at Mansa Devi temple Friday. Female foeticide is a heinous crime. It affects the whole society , said Sangeeta Goyal,Municipal Councillor,Panchkula.
