Chandigarh Police signs MoU with Art of Living for wellbeing of personnel

According to the MoU, experts of the Art of Living will train the personnel in batches of 125 policemen, including women, every month.

With an objective to reduce stress, anxiety and make the life of police personnel calmer, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chandigarh Police and the Art of Living Thursday.

According to the MoU, experts of the Art of Living will train the personnel in batches of 125 policemen, including women, every month.

The MoU was signed in the presence of IG (UT) Raj Kumar Singh, DIG (UT) Deepak Purohit and Prasana Prabhu, chairman, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India of the Art of Living.

A short demonstration of yoga and meditation techniques was presented by Paula Mukherjee (Paulomi), Regional Director, Government Programs and Santosh, State Director, Government Programs, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India, The Art of Living at Multipurpose Hall in Police Lines, Sector 26.

Senior officers along with 125 police personnel joined the session. The police officers, who participated in the yoga session, were accompanied by SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP Manisha Choudhary, SP Ketan Bansal and SP Shruti Arora.

IG Raj Kumar Singh said, “The main objective of execution of this Memorandum of Understanding is to equip the officers/officials of Chandigarh Police with the simple and practical tools and techniques to get rid of stress, anxiety, negativity and achieve a stress free, calm, happy and peaceful mind.”
