Chandigarh: Justice Sanghi cremated with state honours

Justice Sanghi, a serving judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, had passed away on March 7 after suffering a massive heart attack.

Justice Naresh Kumar Sanghi was on Wednesday cremated with full state honours at Sector 25 cremation ground.

Justice Sanghi, a serving judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, had passed away on March 7 after suffering a massive heart attack during a pilgrimage at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. His body was brought to Chandigarh Tuesday.

Among those who attended the cremation were Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Acting Chief Justice S J Vazifdar, High Court judges, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chandigarh BJP unit president Sanjay Tandon.

Justice Sanghi’s elder son Aditya lit the pyre in the presence of his younger brother Rahul, family members and relatives.
