Though coaching institutes tutoring candidates for the AIPMT examination have already uploaded the tentative answer keys on their respective websites, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to decide if it will upload the All India Premedical Test answer keys on its official website.
Dr Arvind Goyal, a city-based AIPMT tutor, has filed a petition with the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking provisions to upload the answer keys on the CBSE website along with provisions for inviting complaints from teachers and candidates in case any errors are found before the assessment of OMR ( Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheets.
According to a CBSE notification, there is no provision of re-evaluation of answer sheets or rechecking of answers.
Goyal said, “Uploading answer keys on the website will bring transparency in the system. The students will know how are they being evaluated.
We also stated in the petition that CBSE should start with the provision of filing complaints, as it happens with the JEE exam where a candidate can file a complaint against any answer by submitting Rs 1,000 that is refunded if the board accepts the complaint.”
Recently, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had directed the CBSE Chairman to take a decision on whether the answer keys of AIPMT 2014 would be uploaded on its website before the OMR sheets are evaluated.
