The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has found that many of the candidates recommended for government jobs by two MLAs – O P Jain and Zile Ram Sharma – made it to the selection lists. The investigating agency has disclosed in the chargesheet filed against the two MLAs that it has seized documents giving details of recommendation letters by them for employing those people. It is also waiting for the FSL report of the CPU that was seized from Sharma’s house, containing details about the recommendations made for jobs in lieu of the cash that they had received.

The CBI chargesheet in the case against Jain,MLA from Panipat and Zile Ram Sharma,Assandh MLA has revealed that during searches they found a number of incriminating documents linking the accused to an abetment-to-suicide case. The CBI said the documents that were seized include the roll number slips, interview cards, certificates and results declared by Haryana Staff Selection Commisison for various posts. The recommendation letters to the CM,with the names of the candidates, were also seized. Investigations have revealed that these lists were prepared by one Banarsi Dass Sharma,of Jind, who used to work for Sharma.

The CBI has further disclosed in the chargesheet that candidates, who were selected for the job, were examined and they admitted that they had approached MLA Jain for their recruitments either personally or through their sarpanchs and local MLAs and their acquaintances. Counsel for the accused Vishal Garg Narwana has, however, said that the CBI has lodged a false case against the accused.
