First swine flu death in Punjab

Chandigarh:Punjab’s first death due to swine flu,this season,was reported from Ludhiana on Thursday. “Jagjit Singh (45) who was admitted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital,Ludhiana,on September 16,developed multiple complications,and died. We have asked for a detailed report from the hospital,” said Dr Deepak Bhatia,project coordinator for integrated disease surveillance,Punjab.

Contempt case against SDM dropped
