Better facilities,teaching behind success: Teachers of top 5 schools

With the on set of admission season,some of the city’s government funded schools have become top destinations for students who passed class XI this year.

With the on set of admission season,some of the city’s government funded schools have become top destinations for students who passed class XI this year. Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS),Sector 16; GMSSS,Sector 35; GMSSS,Sector 37; GMSSS,Sector 40 and GMSSS,Modern Housing Complex,Manimajra have seen high cut offs for admissions to Science,Commerce or Humanities streams.

Teachers attribute success of these schools to better infrastructure,quality teaching and discipline. Taking to Newsline Principal GMSSS,Modern Housing Complex,Manimajra,Kund Bala said,“We have 4200 students in our school. Though it is difficult to manage,but school has dedicated staff members who provide best teaching to students. Moreover,there is a great emphasis on discipline. After class X,the students of class XI and XII have different paraphernalia. Even parents prefer our school due to efficient management.”

Bala added that the school also make efforts to keep in loop parents when their children committee any mistake.

With the last date is over,as many as 16576 prospectuses were sold and 15577 forms submitted for 13,000 seats.

Similarly,principal GMSSS,Sector 16,Anujeet Kaur said,“ Luckily the school has set of hardworking staff members who all believe in quality teaching. We always concentrate to build communication with our students and their parents. The school no doubt has good infrastructure to provide best teaching to students”.

In addition,schools also did well in the Class XII examinations for the session 2012-13. GMSSS-16 registered 98.72 per cent result while GMSSS-35 registered the same to 94.02 per cent of class XII. GMSSS-37 registered 97.38 per cent result and same for GMSSS 40 is 89.45.
