Baba Ramdev: ‘Yoga only way to overcome physical, mental diseases’

The administration is already spending Rs 4.5 lakh on planting around 4,000 ornamental plants at the complex

Yoga guru Ramdev addressed the valedictory session of the four-day Chandigarh Yoga Festival in the city on Sunday.

Ramdev said: “Owing to bad diet habits and unsuitable lifestyle, people suffer from diseases. Yoga is the only way to overcome all the physical and mental diseases. Yoga is about all the physical and mental exercises and yama, niyama and good diet plan.”

A man, who performs yoga for an hour daily, lives a healthy, fearless and long life, he added.

“I am against homosexuality, but love everyone as a teacher, guide and as a member of this big family of 700 crore people,” the yoga guru said.

Akshay Anand, editor in chief, annals of neurosciences, India Academy of Neurosciences, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, chaired the first session that focused on yoga and medicine.
