The Citizens Awareness Group,in association with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI),held an Investor Awareness Programme.
The objective of the program was to educate senior citizens about the investment opportunities available in the securities market and apprise them about their rights and responsibilities while dealing in the financial market.
Surinder Verma,Chairman,Citizens Awareness Group said,Everybody wants to earn money by investing in the market. Various companies have employed educated youth and given huge targets to them. But an investor fails to know what has happened to his money. People should search for good companies to invest money in and should also understand the goal one wants to achieve.
Raman Kalara,Assistant Manager National Stock Exchange,advised that one should buy stocks only after thoroughly studying the performance of the company concerned.
