Desh Raj had initially made a demand for Rs 5 lakh from Anokh Singh. However,the “deal” was later settled for Rs 2 lakh. Anokh Singh,in one of the recorded conversations,expressed his inability to even arrange Rs 1 lakh as the first instalment and requested Desh Raj to accept Rs 50,000. Flatly turning down the offer,Desh Raj told Anokh Singh that there were plenty to give him a “paltry” amount of Rs 50,000.
