Artistes come together at International Coffee Festival in Sector 17

The International Coffee Festival organised as part of World Tourism Week by Chandigarh Tourism and CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation) kick started on Friday.

The International Coffee Festival organised as part of World Tourism Week by Chandigarh Tourism and CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation) kick started on Friday with countries like Ethiopia,Turkey,Kenya,Indonesia and Bolivia participating. Also,a fashion show had been organised.

Meanwhile,Bollywood playback singer Kavita Krishnamurthy,who is trained in classical music,held the audience in raptures at Sector 17 Plaza in the evening.

Earlier in the day,music composer and flute maestro Ravinder Singh and other well-known artistes had enthralled the audience,which included early morning walkers in ‘Su-Prabhat’ – a bonanza of morning melodies.

Singh opened up the recital and gradually unfolded the melody of ragas as tabla exponent Mehmood Khan provided accompaniment.

Sitarist Parth Sen,vocalist Piyousha Mitra and Gargi Haldar and percussionist Debashish Dhar also performed on the occasion.
