A stray dog bit eight people,including four children and two women at the Wool Market in Sector 38.

Chandigarh: A stray dog bit eight people,including four children and two women at the Wool Market in Sector 38. The dog was later picked up by the staff of the Municipal Corporation. It was ascertained that the dog was not rabid. Thereafter it was released at the same spot.

Lawyer arrested for misconduct with girl

CHANDIGARH: A lawyer,Gagandeep Singh,a resident of Sector 8,Chandigarh was arrested on Sunday for allegedly misbehaving with a girl. The girl,who works in a beauty parlour in Sector 47,alleged that Gagandeep had consumed alcohol and tried to forcibly hold her hand and neck. The accused was later released on bail. In another incident of eve-teasing in the city,Navi,a resident of Sector 44,passed lewd comments about a girl who lives in the same area. A case has been registered.

Results of Dayanand College declared

CHANDIGARH: The results for the Post-Graduate Diploma Courses of Dayanand College of Communication and Management,Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan have been declared. The percentage of students who passed in the courses in public relations,mass communication,marketing and sales management,and industrial relations and personnel management is 100 per cent and in journalism is 90 per cent.

Hindi recitation at Shivalik Public School

MOHALI: The Intersection Hindi Poetry Recitation competition for classes I and II was held in Shivalik Public School,in which students recited poems based on themes like Independence Day and Rakshabandhan.
