Vehicle thief held

A police team of Sector 17 police station arrested Sushil Kumar,a resident of Burail,and recovered five vehicles and two mobiles phone which were reported stolen. The accused has been remanded to police custody by a local court till Monday.

Canada education fair organised

Over 300 students desirous of studying in Canada interacted with representatives from over 21 Canadian government-supported educational institutions of higher education at the Mega Canadian Education Fair cum Admission Workshop on Sunday. The Fair was brought to Chandigarh by Charms Education and Immigration Services.

Scraped battery cell stolen

An officer at the BSNL Telephone Exchange,Manimajra,reported that someone had stolen 308 old scraped battery cell. The incident took place on the night intervening April 7 and 8. According to police,the total cost of the scraped battery sums up to Rs 1.2 lakhs. A case has been registered by the police.
