Chandigarh:A UT Police constable was injured when his motorcycle was hit by a car near Sector-17 bus stand on Friday night. Constable Harminder Singh,who alleged that a Safari car driven by Satyawant Singh,a Sector 46 resident,hit his motorcycle,was taken to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital,Sector 16. Police arrested the accused and registered a case of rash driving and causing injuries due to a negligent act at the Sector-17 police station.

Two-day awareness programme for nurses

Chandigarh:Regional Spinal Injuries Centre (RSIC),Sector 70,will hold a two-day awareness programme ‘Abhilasha’ for nurses on May 28 and 29. Around 25 nurses from hospitals across the Tricity are expected to participated. The event is a four-fold programme,including skill development in areas related to patient care; ways to become self motivated; growth of hospital and good health of patients; and enhance efficiency at all levels.

PGI to hold workshop on child-health planning

Chandigarh:School of Public Health,PGIMER,in collaboration with UNICEF and WHO,New Delhi will organise a National Capacity Development Workshop for district level managers on Reproductive and Child Health Planning from May 28 to June 6.
