AITA tennis meet from June 24

Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) will organise CLTA-AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls in u-14 and u-18 categories,from June 24 to 28 at the CLTA Stadium in Sector 10. The qualifying matches will be played on June 22 and 23. Players from different states will take part in the event. As many as 242 players have signed-in for the qualifying event (95 in u-14 boys,94 in u-18 boys,31 in u-14 girls and 22 in u-18 girls). Wild card for the main draw have been given to following players:

boys: u-14: Rihab Gracias,Akshit Chhabra,Sehaj Sidhu,Karan Singh Bhalla; u-18: Sultan Singh Atwal,Rahul Seth,Eklavya Singh,Sumit Pal Singh;

girls: u-14: Khushbeen Kaur,Deepshikha,Ravita,Princy; u-18: Gayatri Kumariah,Mariyam Gracias,Pious Mudgil.

Total Tennis tourney from today

The Total Tennis Academy will organise The British Total Tennis Championship at British School,Sector 70,from June 22 to 24. This will the fifth tournament in the Total Tennis Championship. Matches will be played in u-10,-12,-14 and -18 categories in both boys and girls sections. Interested players can send their entries to Varun at 8699714293 by June 22 till 9 am.

Fencing Nationals from June 24

Punjab Fencing Association and Punjabi University,Patiala,under the auspices of Fencing Association of India,will organise the 5th National Fencing Federation Cup (Late Arun Kumar Vij Memorial Trophy) for men and women at Multipurpose Indoor hall,Punjabi University,Patiala,from June 24 to 26. A total of 300 fenders and officials from all over India will take part in the event. The teams participating in the event are Services Sports Control Boards,Shashtra Seema Bal,AP,Assam,Bihar,Chandigarh,Delhi,Punjab,J&K,Himachal Pradesh,Manipur,Karnataka,Kerala,M.P.,Chhattisgarh,Pondicherry,Tamilnadu,Uttrakhand,Maharashtra,Haryana & Uttar Pradesh as they have qualified in the men & women section for this championship on the basis of their performance in the Senior National Fencing Championship held at Rohtak (Haryana) in February earlier this year.

Golf camp for kids from today

An eight-day Summer Golf Camp for kids will be conducted by Ajay Gujral,EGTF certified coach,at the Chandigarh Golf Club from June 22 to 30 between 4 to 5 pm. It is open for members as well as non-members of Chandigarh Golf Club. This golf coaching camp is designed for children between 6 to 16 years of age and they will be taught the fundamentals of golf,where they can learn all the basics of the game in a systematic and structured manner,like grip,aim,alignment,stance,posture,chipping,putting. A limited number of participants will be enrolled on a first-come-first-served basis.
