For the family members of pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh, his surrender and subsequent arrest Sunday came as a huge relief as they said that their “dilemma has ended”, paving the way for a “legal fight now”. Amritpal’s parents, Tarsem Singh and Balwinder Kaur, said they wanted that he should surrender.

“I feel proud that he surrendered like a warrior at the place where his dastarbandi was held. We will fight the legal battle now. We will soon go to Assam to meet him,” said Balwinder Kaur.
