Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Chandigarh, and Teachers-Student Forum for Education will initiate a discussion on the forthcoming new education policy in the region on March 21 at the Department of Evening Studies Auditorium, Panjab University (PU), from 10 am to 2 pm.
The meeting will be attended by former PU Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Professor Arun Kumar Grover, Professor KN Pathak, former PTU V-C Professor Rajneesh Arora, Central University, Punjab, V-C Professor R K Kohli, Maharaja Agrasen University, V-C Professor S P Bansal, former Principal, DAV College, Chandigarh, Dr K S Arya, and many other dignitaries, including PU fellows.
More than 100 teachers and students from all over Punjab and Chandigarh will be participating in the discussion. In the meeting, topic such as Indian values in higher education, skill development and job-oriented education and technology will be deliberated on.
The outcome of the discussion will be put in form of a report and shall be forwarded to the government and concerned authorities. While national president of ABVP, Professor Nagesh Thakur, will be the chief guest, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar and Professor Devinder Singh will act as the moderators.
