The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) will soon launch a ‘Punjab Bolda Hai’ (Punjab speaks) campaign on the lines of its Delhi Dialogue programme “to reach out to people from all walks of life”.
This was announced by Punjab convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur while addressing a rally at Jhunior block in Mansa. “We will reach out to people in all the 117 constituencies of Punjab and will organise ‘Punjab Bolda Hai’ separately for farmers, students, women, industrialists, the service class, daily wagers, migrants, Dalits and so on. We will organise the programme at specific locations where opinions of masses from each sector will be taken and they will be passed on to our experts so that they can frame policies as per the suggestions of masse. These policies will be implemented once we will come to power in 2017,”said Chhotepur.
Party’s Punjab affairs incharge Sanjay Singh added, “We will form the government in 2017, and to know what people want from us in 2017, we will be organising ‘Punjab Bolda Hai.”
Meanwhile, the AAP members staged a dharna at Jhunir over farmer suicides in general and a recent suicide by a farmer of Sahnewal village in particular.
AAP demanded Rs 10 lakh as compensation and job for a member of the family of Shingaara Singh.
