1,300 Sikh pilgrims leave for Pakistan

Around 1,300 member of a special Sikh pilgrims,jatha,including women and elders,today crossed over to Pakistan to celebrate the 541st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.

Around 1,300 member of a special Sikh pilgrims,jatha,including women and elders,today crossed over to Pakistan to celebrate the 541st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. The air rented with slogans of ‘Bole So Nihal’ and chanting of hymns from gurbani as they board the Samjhauta Express to Pakistan. Thousands of Sikhs from across the world are converging at Nanak’s birth place,Nankana Sahib in Pakistan ‘s Sheikhupura district in Lahore on November 21 for the celebrations.
