(Twitter/ PTI/ File) Several southern and interior districts in Odisha received heavy rainfall on Wednesday as the severe cyclonic storm Michaung weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area.
The depression (remnant of cyclonic storm Michaung) over northeast Telangana and adjoining south Chhattisgarh-south interior, Odisha-Coastal Andhra Pradesh moved slowly north-north-eastwards during the past six hours and weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area over the same region, said a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Under its influence, several districts of Odisha including Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal have received heavy rainfall since Tuesday.
