Woman, 5 others arrested for revenge murder in Bangalore

Police claim the accused confessed that they murdered Sadiq on December 23 to avenge the death of Razia's brother.

A 36-year-old woman and five others were arrested for an alleged revenge murder in Bangalore. The victim, Jaffer Sadiq, was the main accused in the murder of her brother a year ago.

The accused persons have been identified as Razia Sultan of Dayananda Nagar slum and her gang members included her husband Tabrez Pasha, Mohammed Sultan, Wasim, Mohammed Zaheer and Sayyad.

Police claim the accused confessed that they murdered Sadiq on December 23 to avenge the death of Razia’s brother.

According to the police, Chonya Mutthu alias Mohammed Kamal was murdered by a gang in March 2014 and Sadiq, the prime accused, had been arrested in connection to the case. Sadiq was later granted conditional bail by the Karnataka High Court on November 3.
