Vehicle check by police turns tragic for 3-year-old dog bite victim in Karnataka’s Mandya

A three-year-old girl was run over by a truck in Karnataka’s Mandya district on Monday as traffic police tried to stop the two-wheeler on which her mother and uncle were rushing her to a hospital following a dog bite.

The deceased has been identified as Hrithiksha, who was bitten by a dog near her home at Goravanahalli in Maddur taluk of Mandya.

It was around 11 am when the police flagged down the vehicle in the middle of the road during a routine vehicle check.

As her uncle tried to control the two-wheeler, Hrithiksha fell onto the road and a truck that came from behind ran over her.
