Terror suspect sent funds from abroad to carry out suicide attacks in Bengaluru and other cities, says NIA chargesheet
The NIA alleged that Junaid Ahmed, after his release from jail, began sending funds to his co-accused from abroad to promote LeT activities within and outside the prison.

(Representational/ File) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday said it has filed a chargesheet against eight people in connection with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) prison radicalisation and suicide attack conspiracy case.
The case was originally registered by the Bengaluru city police on July 18, 2023, following the seizure of arms, ammunition, hand grenades, and walkie-talkies from the house of one of the accused.
According to the NIA, the probe revealed that T Naseer, who was involved in several blast cases, had come in contact with the other accused while they were all lodged in Bengaluru prison in 2017.
Naseer has been serving a life sentence since 2013, while two other accused, Junaid Ahmed and Salman Khan, are suspected to have fled abroad. The remaining suspects – Syed Suhail Khan, Mohammed Umar, Zahid Tabrez, Syed Mudassir Pasha, and Mohammed Faisal Rabbani – have been arrested.
