Techie killed while avoiding pothole in Bengaluru

A 25-year-old software engineer was killed and her husband was injured when they fell on the road from a scooter in a bid to avoid a pothole at Devara Beesanahalli in East Bengaluru on Thursday night.

The deceased woman was identified as Suchi Pandey, a resident of Banashankari first stage and native of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Her husband Om Prakash, also a software engineer was injured in the incident.

The traffic police said the accident occurred around 9.30 pm when they were returning home from their friend’s residence. Om Prakash was riding his Honda Activa while his wife was on the pillion seat. Prakash who swerved to avoid a pothole fell on the road with his scooter. His wife suffered a severe head injury. The couple got married two years ago and had settled in Bengaluru on account of their jobs.
