However, Mallikarjun Kharge, who is running for the Congress president’s post, was nowhere to be seen despite leaders saying that he would be present alongside the Gandhis. Kharge had arrived in Mysuru on Wednesday and was supposed to be part of the Yatra.

The Yatra resumed after a two-day break and is headed towards Brahmadevarahalli, Nagamangala taluk, of Mandya district.

Thousands of supporters participated in the Yatra as it marched for around 11 km. During the march, Rahul interacted with a couple of residents in each of the villages through which the Yatra passed.
