(Photo: Facebook@JuggernautBluster)A 32-year-old rapper and hip-hop artist from Odisha, Abhinav Singh, who was popularly known as ‘Juggernaut’, allegedly died by suicide at his Bengaluru apartment earlier this week, the police said.
Singh’s body was discovered on Monday, the Bengaluru police said, adding that his family had lodged a case in Odisha alleging harassment by his wife.
Singh, whose song ‘Cuttack Anthem’ was a hit, worked in the automation testing wing of Power School India Private Limited, a software company at Embassy Tech Village. He stayed in a fourth-floor flat at Sree Utopia apartments in Kadubeesanahalli, a police statement said.
“On February 9, around 9 pm, he had dinner with his friend and returned to his flat,” Shivakumar Gunare, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield, said, confirming that Singh had died by suicide.
The Marathahalli police have registered an unnatural death report and have handed over his body to his family after the post-mortem.
According to the Bengaluru police, Singh’s father has registered a case at Lalbagh police station in Odisha where he has alleged that Singh’s wife and family were harassing him. The police are investigating the matter.
