The Bengaluru police have arrested one person in connection with the alleged leakage of questions ahead of LLB examination conducted by Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) last month.
Vishwanatha K N, vigilance squad member of KSLU examinations, filed a complaint to the Bengaluru cybercrime police on January 30 after questions of Contract-1 paper of law exam surfaced on social media ahead of the test that was conducted across the state on January 23.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), squad member Ravindra Rajpoot forwarded the leaked questions to Vishwanatha, chairman and member of Vigilance Squad-2, who upon verification found that the questions were identical to the content in the actual question paper.
A Central Crime Branch (CCB) officer, who confirmed the arrest of one individual in the case, however, did not disclose further details due to the ongoing investigation.
Investigators are probing the source of the leak occurred and those responsible for disseminating the questions before the exam, said an officer.
