Kannada film producer Soundarya Jagadish dies by suicide

Businessman and Kannada film producer Soundarya Jagadish was found dead at his Bengaluru home on Sunday morning. Police are treating it as a case of suicide.
The police, who have registered a case of unnatural death, believe that the 55-year-old, a resident of Mahalakshmi Layout, killed himself around 4 am. They were informed of the incident around 9.40 am, after Jagadish was declared dead on arrival by doctors at a hospital where his body was taken by his family members.
DCP (North) Saidulu Adavath said that Jagadish’s wife had filed a complaint. “We are investigating the case from all angles. Recently, his mother-in-law passed away and he was depressed because he was attached to her. He was also under medication for stress,” he told the media.
Jagadish’s relatives told reporters that there were no financial or health problems in the family. His daughter was recently married. He is also survived by his wife and a son.
Appu And Pappu, Mast Maja Maadi, Snehitaru and Ramleela are some well-known movies that Jagadish produced.
Jagadish also owned Jetlag Restobar, located in Rajajinagar, which was in the middle of a controversy in January. A case was registered against Jagadish and others after the bar remained open past the 1 am deadline. It was alleged that a party was underway to celebrate the success of the Darshan starrer Kaatera. A chargesheet was later filed in the case.
