Kannada film director S Narayan robbed outside bank

Police are analysing CCTV footage from the crime scene to identify the accused. They have also questioned narayan's driver.

A famour director from the Kannada film world was robbed of Rs 3.5 lakh in cash and other documents including cheque books when unidentified persons broke into his car while it was parked near the Federal Bank in Vijayanagar in West Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The well known film director and actor S Narayan and his driver Ravishankar had gone to the Federal Bank in Vijayanagar around 11.30 am leaving behind a suitcase containing a few documents and Rs 3.5 lakh cash on the front seat of the car.

While Narayan had gone to the bank, his driver had gone to a nearby shop. The theft of the suitcase was noticed after the car’s burglar alarm was heard by the driver.

Narayan approached the Vijayanagar police station and registered a complaint. Police are analysing CCTV footage from the crime scene to identify the accused. The police have also questioned Narayan’s driver at length.
