3 fans electrocuted while installing birthday flex for KGF star Yash in Karnataka

The fans who were killed while installing a birthday flex for KGF star Yash were all in their twenties.

Three men were electrocuted in Karnataka’s Gadag district early on Monday when they were installing a flex to celebrate Kannada film actor Yash’s birthday.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Hanumanth Harijan, 24, Murali Naduvinamani, 20, and Naveen Gaaji, 20. The accident took place in Suranagi village of Laxmeshwar taluk of Gadag district at around 1 am.

Babasaheb Nemagouda, Superintendent of Police, Gadag, said, “While putting up the banner, three of them were electrocuted and three were injured. The banner had a metal frame which was in touch with a HESCOM wire. A case has been registered at Lakshmeshwar Police Station. We will investigate this”.

The three others who were injured were shifted to the district hospital for further treatment.

Chandru Lamani, Shirhatti MLA who visited the spot, said, “We request the public not to erect any metallic frame banners. I also request Yash to visit the families of the deceased”.

KGF star Yash is celebrating his birthday on January 8. In an X post on January 4, Yash said he would not be able to meet his fans on January 8 as he would be away.
