BJP MLA booked for barging into man’s house on Bakrid, abusing family: police

The victim Mehraj, 27, an electrician by profession filed a complaint on Wednesday. According to the complaint, when Mehraj was celebrating Bakrid with his family, Salagar and his followers barged into his house claiming they were slaughtering animals. Initially, the MLA claimed that the a cow was being slaughtered.

However, when Mehraj and his neighbours tried to clear the doubts, the MLA abused the women of the complaniant’s family and threatened that he would teach them a lesson.

Basavakalyan police is yet to investigate the case. The police have booked a case against them under several sections.

Meanwhile, the video of the incident has gone viral.
