The eighth edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival will be held on November 9-10. The festival brings together some of the world’s greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, sportsperosns and entertainers on one stage.
The time, the Bangalore Literature Festival will boast of national award-winning actor Pankaj Kumar; historian and author of Savarkar: Echoes from a Forgotten Past; renowned mythologist, writer and columnist Devdutt Pattanaik; political and social essayist Mukul Kesavan; historian William Dalrymple; writer, critic and artist Agni Shreedar; veteran theatre and film actor Supriya Pathak; journalists Tony Joseph, Mark Tully and many others .

According to the Bangalore Literature Festival organisers, there will be a remembrance of late Girish Karnad’s work and life by leading writers and theatre personalities Jayant Kaikini, B Jayashree and K Marulasiddappa.
The literature festival will also host Children-Literature-Fun or CLF programmes for children in three forums, Abracadabra for 4-year-olds and above; Khul Ja Sim Sim for 8-year-olds and above and Shazam for 12-year-olds and above. The CLF programme will have activities like storytelling, creative games, writing workshops, illustration, and music performances. There will be an exclusive Atta Galatta bookstore for children at the venue.
The two-day event will be held in Hotel Lalit Ashok in Kumara Krupa High Grounds and starts at 10 am. The entry for the event is free for all.
