Later, the General also recorded his feelings in the visitor’s book. Pray to Waheguru Ji to bestow good health and happiness to all ranks of the Indian Army.”

Murder of Sikh shopkeeper in Pak condoled, condemned

SGPC president, Harjinder Singh Dhami, later in the day strongly condemned the attack on Sikhs, who are in minority in Pakistan. In a statement issued from SGPC office in Amritsar,  Dhami said that murder of Sikh shopkeeper Manmohan Singh in Peshawar was a very unfortunate incident. He said that the government should be serious about the security of Sikhs in Pakistan as this was the second incident of attack recorded against the community in the last two days.

Dhami said that many such incidents have taken place in Pakistan in the past, too. If the government had given severe punishment to the culprits in past cases, then this would not have happened again.

The SGPC president also appealed to the External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar, and asked him to express strong objection with the Pakistan government in this matter at the diplomatic level.
