In an incident of burglary that occurred at a marriage function in Junagadh on Saturday night,a woman lost cash and ornaments worth Rs 1.47 lakh.
According to police sources,Meena Damani,a resident of Palanpur in north Gujarat,had come to attend the marriage of her relative in Junagadh. She,along with her relatives,was staying in a room at the Mangalya party plot where the function was scheduled.
When Damani returned to her room after attending the marriage ceremony in the night,she found her room was unlocked and valuables including Rs 4,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.43 lakh were missing from her bags.
The police have registered a complaint under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code. Investigation is going on. We are scanning photographs and video shooting of the function. Besides,a dog squad and FSL experts have also been pressed into service to nab the thief, said a police official.

It is learnt that a group of thieves allegedly sneak into marriage functions to rob the people of their valuables.
