Tight security for first Test between India,New Zealand

The city police have made elaborate security arrangements for the first Test match between India and New Zealand to be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad from November 4.

The city police have made elaborate security arrangements for the first Test match between India and New Zealand to be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad from November 4. A force comprising two deputy commissioners of police,eight superintendents of police,30 inspectors,65 sub-inspectors,497 constables and 64 women personnel will stand guard at the venue. Besides,two companies of the State Reserve Police Force,a couple of Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) and 20 personnel of CHETAK and Quick Response Team will also be pressed into service at the stadium and the players’ hotel.
