In a major reshuffle of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers,the state government has transferred as many as four chief conservators of forest (CCF),five conservators of forest (CF) and promoted seven CFs to the post of CCF.
According to an official list of IFS officer transfers and promotion,Anup Shukla,Director (CF),Central Gujarat Vij Company,has been promoted to CCF and appointed as Managing Director,Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL). The TCGL post had been lying vacant since its incumbent P D Vaghela’s appointment as the Kandla Port chairman on Central deputation.
Sanjiv Tyagi,member secretary,Gujarat Pollution Control Board,has been shifted to Junagadh Circle as the CF,replacing M M Sharma who has been transferred to Wild Life Circle in Junagadh. CF,Wild Life Junagadh Circle,Bharat Pathak has been moved to a newly-created post of North Gujarat Wd Life Circle,Gandhinagar.
Among the IFS officers of the rank of CCF transferred are E Balaguruswami,A K Sharma,Hari Shankar Singh and Jamal Ahmed Khan. Balaguruswami,who was in-charge of budget at the PCCF office,has been shifted to Gujarat Ecology Commission as its member secretary.

He has been replaced by A K Sharma,MD,State Forest Development Corporation.
Singh,who was CCF (Land),has been transferred as MD,State Forest Development Corporation,and CF (Surat Circle) R J Asari promoted to CCF has been shifted to Gandhinagar and put in charge of Forest Land.
Among the IFS officers elevated from the post of CF to CCF include D S Narve (Marine National Park),A K Saxena (Mission Director,State Bio-technology Mission),A K Varshney (Rajkot Circle),S C Srivastava (MD,Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation) and Kabool Chand (Valsad Circle).
While Srivastava has been transferred to Vadodara as CCF,Working Plan,Kabool Chand has been shifted from Valsad to Gandhinagar as CCF (Monitoring and Vigilance). Varshney has been appointed MD,State Rural Development Corporation and Saxena has been retained as the Bio technology Mission Director in Gandhinagar.
CCF Khan (Working Plan Vadodara) has been transferred as Director of the Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI) in Vadodara.
S K Mehta,General Manager,Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation,has been shifted to Rajkot Circle as the CF. ‘
