The state office of the Bharatiya Janata Party has gone tech savvy in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology has been installed in the party office premises to ensure smooth and uninterrupted communication during the election period.

The Wi-Fi services will enable various departments of the BJP office to communicate swiftly and stay in touch with other departments like media, aviation,VIP arrangements and publicity cell.

“There will be increased communication between the party high command in Delhi and state party workers here during the poll process. Wi–Fi services will allow continuous flow of information without any hassle,” said state BJP spokesperson,Yamal Vyas.

Addressing the security perspective,Vyas said that Wi–Fi services are equipped with password and other safety measures. The workers will be able to access the technology with the pre-determined codes, which would hinder any misuse.

Shashiranjan Yadav,Convener of the Gujarat BJP IT Cell, said: “The use of a particular technology in the party office sends positive signals to the public about the kind of infrastructure the party possesses.”

According to party officials, the technological upgradation at the BJP office is in sync with the development model followed by the Gujarat Government.
