This will be his first visit to Gujarat after the anointment of Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate of the party.

At 3 pm,Advani is scheduled to inaugurate two gardens on the Sabarmati river banks on east and west side as a part of the river front project.
He will then go to Maninagar Assembly constituency, represented by Modi,to inaugurate IIT-RAM,a college of research and management,in Khokhra at 4 pm,before leaving for New Delhi. Senior party functionaries like Parindu Bhagat refused to comment on Advanis itinerary.
