Six from Gujarat clear Indian Forest Service exams

The six candidates from Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) secured ranks between 8 and 97.

A total of 143 candidates have been recommended for appointment under different categories — general (40), EWS (19), OBC (50), SC (23) and ST (11). SPIPA officials said that this was the highest number of candidates selected from Gujarat so far.

Last year, out of 147 posts available at the all-India level, five candidates were from Gujarat.

Over the years, one or two candidates from Gujarat could clear the exams.

The preliminary examination was held in June 16, 2024, followed by the main exam from November 24 to December 1 that year and the interview from April 21 to May 2, 2025.
