A class VIII student of K M School in Dhrangadhra of Surendranagar district has been admitted to a hospital for treatment after he was attacked with a pencil compass allegedly by two of his classmates on Saturday.
Dhrangadhra police said that when the victim,Parth Adesara (14),left for home after school,classmates Anand and Bharat intercepted him and accused him of flattening their cycle tires. After an argument,they allegedly beat him up and attacked on his face with a compass.
Parth sustained a deep cut on the cheek, said Dhrangadhra Constable and Investigating Officer R P Vaghela.
After preliminary treatment at a Dhragadhra hospital,the boy was shifted to Surendranagar on Sunday for advanced treatment,he added. We will question both of them soon. In case of enough evidences,they will be arrested and produced before a juvenile court, Vaghela said.
This is the second such incident reported from a Saurashtra school within a week. On Tuesday,a student of a Rajkot municipal school had allegedly attacked a classmate with a knife.
