SC order a Cong conspiracy: Modi

Addressing a rally in Anand,Modi put up a belligerent posture,hinting that the Congress may have influenced the SC order,and declared he was a son of the soil that the Congress was trying to jail.

The apex court,in response to a petition filed by Zakia Jafri,widow of slain Congress leader Ehsan Jafri,asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Monday to probe the role of Modi and 62 others in the 2002 statewide communal riots.

“Supreme Court fari pachha Modi ni yaad kari che. Shu karu bhai kaho…? Bhaiyo behno 15 divas pehla Congress party na neta ane D ni sarkar ma mantri,Supreme Court na senior advocate,Shrimaan Kapil Sibale kahyu hatu ke Modi jail javani taiyari kare. Ane 15 divas pachhi Supreme Court thi aavo gaaddiyao aavano arth shu…? Shu Congress party e Modi ne jail ma mukvaano karso rachvano gothrayu che? Aa prashna mara mann ma uthe che.” (Once again the Supreme Court has remembered me. What should I do,you tell me? Fifteen days ago,Kapil Sibal,a Congress leader and minister in the UPA government and a senior advocate,had said that Modi should be prepared to go to jail. And exactly after 15 days,the SC has tightened the noose around me. What does it mean? Has the Congress party conspired against me? This question is coming up in my mind.)

The court has ordered the SIT to submit its report in three months. Mentioning the deadline,Modi said,“If in the next three months I am here,I will come and meet you.”

“Whether the Congress likes or dislikes me,I am the son of the soil. The Congress is trying its best to put me behind bars. On the other hand,the Bofors case accused Quattrochi,a family friend of Sonia Gandhi,has been released… Does anybody know who’s the CBI? While a foreigner has been let off,the son of the soil is being targeted.”

He added: “I will not stop fighting terrorism,whether I am inside or outside the jail. The Delhi government will not be able to divert me from the path of truth.”

“The Congress has been threatening me for the last seven years. They have not been able to do anything… I am not worried about my future. I will not bow down to terrorism.”

“People ask me if I am afraid. I tell them I am not. Mothers and sisters of Gujarat have given me security,and till the time I have this security cover,nobody can harm me.”

“I am not scared of anyone,except for one fact— Gujarat is developing at a rapid pace and someone might cast an evil eye on it,” he added.
