Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), led by RSS leader Indresh Kumar, is organising the Akhil Bharatiya Muslim Gopalak Sammelan (All-India Cow Breeders conventions) at Firozpur Jhirka town of the Mewat region in Haryana on September 13. Mewat is the Muslim-dominated part of Haryana. The basic objective of the convention, which will be attended by prominent Muslim leaders from the BJP, is to involve Muslims in the preservation and protection of the cow and its progeny. “We want that people from all communities, irrespective of their faith, show respect to cows and the Haryana convention is basically intended to focus on this issue,” said Dr Vallabhbhai Kathiria, chairman of Gau Seva and Gauchar Vikas Board (GSGVB) and a surgeon by profession.
Dr Kathiria said that prominent among those taking part in the convention were MRM president and senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He said that several Muslim intellectuals and writers would also be attending the convention aimed at creating awareness among the Muslims regarding the respect to be given to cows.
He said that several officials from the Gauseva and Gauchar Vikas Board will be attending the convention. MRM state president and its national co-convener Ghanibhai Quraishi said that he, along with 250 Muslims from Gujarat, will also attend the convention.
