Rajkot job fair: 238 get appointment letters
DDU-GKY is a central government scheme under Mission Mangalam initiative of National Rural Livelihood Mission.
A total of 238 appointment letters were distributed at a job fair held by the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company (GLPC) Limited in Rajkot on Friday. The job fair meant for employment in the private sector and charity organisations comes on the heels of the Central government organising two fairs in the state for handing over appointment letters to those selected for various government posts.
Rajkot district panchayat president Bhupat Bodar, Rajkot MP Mohan Kundariya, Rajya Sabha Member Ram Mokariya, and Rajkot district development officer (DD) Dev Choudhary handed over the appointment letters at Job Mela, 2023, in Hemu Gadhvi Hall.
“This particular scheme (Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana-DDU-GKY) provides youths skills training and employment. However, getting these appointment letters may not mean fulfillment. But do treat this as the first step in your career, and the first step which will lead you to many new paths,” Bodar said while addressing beneficiaries.
