Prepare extensive action plan to curb pollution: Gujarat CM to officials

Considering the harmful effects of air pollution in future, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday instructed the top officials of the state government to prepare an extensive action plan in consultation with all the departments to prevent pollution.

The CM gave the instructions after holding discussions on the issue in the state cabinet meeting, on Wednesday, according to an official release. Recently, the air quality index (AQI) of various cities of Gujarat witnessed an increase.

Similarly, the CM also expressed concerns over pollution in rivers and rivulets of Gujarat. The CM also instructed the officials to take necessary steps to find out the reasons behind pollution in rivers and rivulets and find remedies at the earliest.
