Praveg to develop eco-tourism cottages in Dholavira

Tourism and hospitality firm Praveg Limited Monday announced it has signed its first project at Dholavira in Kutch to build eco-tourism cottages. The facility is expected to be operational later this year.
According to a press release, the project will house 30 premium cottages and a restaurant in its first phase. The company has earmarked additional areas for expansion, allowing an additional 30 more cottages.
The “eco-responsible luxury resorts”, as the firm terms it, will be spread across an area of 48,461 square metres, with the project site situated one-and-a-half kilometres away from the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site—one of the five largest Harappan sites.
According to Praveg Chairman Vishnu Patel, the project expects to start business this season. Along with the heritage site, “tourists can also experience the White Rann desert at Dholavira” throughout the year as the site will be operational across the year, except for the rainy season, Patel stated.
