Praful Patel holds farmers’ meet

Kick-starting NCP’s poll campaign,senior party leader and Union minister Praful Patel on Thursday addressed a farmers’ meet at Kotda Sangani in Rajkot district where he said the BJP’s ship “will sink in Gujarat due to infighting”.

The NCP,a UPA ally, is gearing up to contest 32 of the 182 seats in Gujarat Assembly. At present,it has three MLAs. Asked about state NCP chief Jayant Patel inviting Sanjya Johi to the party,the minister said there was no such plan and that it was state unit chief’s personal view.
