Over 400 students from other states apply for BSc courses

More than 400 students from other states have applied for admission to various B Sc courses in the Gujarat University.

More than 400 students from other states have applied for admission to various B Sc courses in the Gujarat University.

Vice-Chancellor Parimal Trivedi told The Sunday Express that it was for the first time that students from outside Gujarat in such a large number have applied for admission in science courses offered by the GU-affiliated colleges.

He said the career-oriented science programmes offered by the university have been attracting students from other states.

The students who could not get admission in an engineering branch of their interest were turning towards BSc course,he added.

Among the new BSc courses launched by the university since last year are forensic science,animation,mobile communication,IT infrastructure,web technology,networking,satellite communication,space science,clinical research,climate change,bio-diversity and food and nutrition.
