With all politicians worth their weight in salt busy spreading out to all corners of the country in anticipation of votes, they also seem to be indulging in some out-of-the-box thinking to woo the voters.

The latest in this league is Congress candidate from Ahmedabad-East,Deepak Babariya, who has roped in the local drama company,Deepika Patel Productions to come up with a nukkad natak that portrays the shortcomings of the Harin Pathak tenure.

The script of the play has been written by Paras Vyas and will be directed by Deepika Patel herself.

Explaining the plot,Babariya said,“The script revolves around ‘under-development’ in Ahmedabad during Harin Pathak’s 20-year tenure. The script also urges people to ‘vote for a change’.

“It is mandatory talking approval under the Model Code of Conduct so as to ensure that controversial content,if any,is deleted,” he added.

Apart from this, the Congress candidate is also planning to make a 10-minute short film dealing with Ahmedabad specific issues and enumerating his solutions for those. Adding that some multimedia professionals are being contacted for this,Babariya said,” The CDs of the films will be distributed among the voters during the campaign.”
