Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil on Friday alleged that Chief Minister Narendra Modi was trying to promote his image nationally through “false” surveys and opinion polls and that he would meet the fate of former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.

In a statement,Gohil said that when Naidu was CM in 2004,he got “false” surveys and opinion polls conducted and propagated that the maximum number of people participating in the opinion poll supported him as NDA’s prime ministerial candidate. But his Telugu Desam Party was defeated by the people and Naidu has gone into political oblivion since then,he said.

Similarly, when the assembly elections are going to be held in Gujarat,Gohil said that Modi was projecting himself as PM candidate through “manipulated” surveys and opinion polls. “Modi’s government has not come up to the expectations of the people and he will meet the same fate as Naidu…,” Gohil said.
